You will be transferred to Cochin to check in the Magnificent Taj Malabar which stands close to the majestic Arabian Sea. By afternoon, pay a visit to Fort Cochin & Mattanchery town which still tell you the stories of a rich bygone era of colonization.
The day starts with a visit to Chinese fishing nets and then head to Aleepey, the Venice of South. The luxury resort, away from the hustles of Cochin, awaits you.
Evening, explore the backwaters on a canoe and enjoy the sunset on the boat.
Have breakfast and say good bye to Aleppey. Head to Thekady. The journey will take you through the the rubber, tea and coffee plantations through the mountains. The far stretched Blue Mountains and the low hanging clouds, what else you need for a memorable vacation.
Periyar wildlife Sanctuary has option for boating in the lake surrounded by forests on both sides. This offers you an opportunity to watch elephants, Sambars, monkeys, etc in their natural habitat. Stay overnight at the resort.
Thekkady has variety of options for wildlife enthusiastic. Green walk, Nature walk, bamboo rafting and border hiking are some of them and you can choose the programs as per your interests. Most of these activities need physical fitness to walk inside the forest for 3-4 kilometers and Children below 12 are not allowed to participate in any of the above said programs.
Today we will proceed to Kodaikanal, the most sought after hill station in Taminad. We will pass through the hinterland of Tamilnadu.
Apart from the regular sightseeing option like Kodaikanal Lake, pillar rocks etc. there are some interesting points in Kodaikanal. If you would like to visit a local cheese factory, the option is open and it helps you to understand how cheese is made locally.
Today, we are approaching the most beautiful mountain destination. Munnar, as aware, is an exquisite hill station 3 hours away from Kodaikanal. The road which cuts through the mountains pumps up the adrenaline in you. The sight of ever sprawling tea estates is an excellent backdrop for your photos. Check in the beautiful, boutique luxury resort and relax.
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast and proceed to visit Eravikulam National park which offers breathtaking view of Munnar from the top. Mattuppetty dam is an escellent destination for water sports like high speed boating. If lucky, you might spot wild elephants close to the dam. You can also visit Kundala lake and Pothamedu view point.
After breakfast and check out by 11:00 am. We will drive to Cochin. Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls are the two main attraction en route. We will transfer you to Cochin International Airport for departure.
