How to enjoy your holidays safely during Covid-19?

Lockdowns have been withdrawn across the globe and that travel itch is slowly and steadily building up across the globe. People, irrespective of the age, are getting frustrated with the extended stay inside the four walls of the home.

Travel is the biggest industry and it offers livelihood to crores of people and thus support every economy across the globe. So, governments are slowly relaxing the travel norm if not for international flights, at least allowing domestic flights so that people can fly within the country and enjoy the much needed holidays.

Now the question arises how to have a safe holidays while Cocvid -19 is still not tamed and vaccine is yet to arrive.

The best way to access the correct information is to check with the govt. sites. Your travel agents might not be updated with the fast changing rules and protocols.

May airlines and govt. wants you to get a Covid-19 check done at least 48 hours before the travel to ensure the safety. So, it is always better to visit the govt. and airline websites to know the latest rules.

Get a Covid-19 insurance

You travel or not, Covid-19 insurance is a must. If travelling to unknown places and destinations, a covid-19 insurance is an added advantage. This might cost you much, but ensures mental peace.

Choose the destination wisely

The most important decision is to choose the destination. Check how bad the destination is in terms of pandemic spread. See how well the govt. and the local authorities handling the pandemic. Do check with a local if the people are wearing masks so that your risk is limited.
Do not choose a destination that are far from hospitals in case of any emergency.

Do keep a detailed list of hospitals in the destinations you travel. Keep it handy and do seek the medical help in case you feel unhealthy.

Get a medical check up

Try to get a medical checkup at least 3 days prior to the travel to know whether you are Covid negative. It is always good to know that no one is affected before travel. Also, ensure not to travel in case of any symptoms. It is wise to cancel the tour and stay back at home rather seeking help in an unknown place.

Wear a mask and use sanitizations

Most of us accepted the fact that mask and sanitizers are the way forward.It is compulsory to wear a mask while on the road, flight and on the taxi.All the travelers wearing a mask helps to reduce the spread of the virus.

Do carry enough number of masks while travelling and remember to change masks once in 4 hours.

Sanitizers, when used regularly, help us to reduce the risk of virus. Get your hands sanitized every time you go out and come back or when you are in public space.

If you use a cab, ask the operator to separate the driver cabin with a plastic. It helps to avoid any contact.

Practice Social Distancing.

Do remember that vaccine is yet to arrive ad social distancing is the only way out. Keep at least 1.5 meters of distance. Avoid taking
massages etc to avoid any contact spreads.

Plan for places which are less crowded. Avoid big cities and festivals if any.
A holiday should not turned out to be as an occasion to receive virus.

Choose the hotels wisely

Do check the reviews and ratings of the resorts/hotels and check with them whether they do regular sanitization of the rooms. Always choose safety over cost. Most of the star hotels do sanitization on regular interval to ensure the safety of the guests.

Be a responsible citizen

Adhere to the rules and regulations imposed by the local governments. Travel only of you are healthy enough to go for a holiday.
