All started over a beer during 2005
I am Dileep Abraham, the founder of this small yet growing boutique tour company in Kerala. I was working in Bangalore in HSBC bank and never had it in mind to start anything, let alone a tour company.
But, a conversation at Toit Bangalore has changed the destiny. I was having a beer with one of my friend who was about to get married and he asked me to help him planning his honeymoon to Kerala. Though from Kerala, I never had an idea where I am getting into. With the help of friends back in Kerala, I could arrange a beautiful holiday for my friend who was visiting Kerala for the first time.
It took time, but the word of mouth helped. I arranged many tours to Kerala while on work at Bangalore. By sensing the potential, I decided to quit and start a company to cater the needs of the people who loves to travel to Kerala.
Though it was easy to start, the first 4 years was tough to survive. Our main source of business was referrals as we never compromised on experience and quality of our offerings. It is our motto to keep the standards high irrespective of the margin form the business.
It took long 5 years before we could get an inbound business through a reference. But, that was just a starting, now, 35% of our total business is inbound mostly from EU market.
We are entering into an exciting times in travel industry. Post Covid world, people will give more time for leisure travel.
